They picked the current boundary lines because it changed from being about schools to being a power and money grab. They have no place to accuse the city-parish of being greedy.
The original plan was a smaller community school district. People in the small area would have happily supported and ISD tax to fund it.
What you have now is a monstrosity driven by your leaders ambitions. Your leaders failed you, period.
Totally agree.

One thing to remember is that they are regular citizens, many with real jobs; and on the other hand they are fighting City Hall and all that comes with it.
It is an enormous undertaking to try what they did and when they started I would bet they didn't envision any of this.

They didn't "pick" boundary lines. The city of St.George is merely what BR never annexed. There was no drawing of lines.

Sure there were. That's why the original proposal that was just the school district was half the size of the incorporation effort.

Today is NOT that day.....

The legislature told us to form a city, first. Here we are. We used the lines BR drew long ago. We had no control of what was, or what wasn't incorporated.

You have been proven wrong so many times, and have yet to once admit it. You're a joke. You may be the most argumentative SOB on here, and if thats how you get your jollies then fine. We all see you for what you are.
FACT: BR drew the lines.

Quick question for you: They can't even get 18000 people to sign a paper, that they are bringing to the people. Do you really think you can get the people to actively go vote?

As I wrote, today is NOT that day....

Voter apathy is found on both sides of the fence. That said, you don't know if they have 18k or not.

Are you saying BR didn't draw the lines? If so, I have some oceanfront property to sell you. Right on the St.George line.

They don't have 18000.

Baton Rouge did not draw the SG lines. The SG "leaders" did that....more than once in fact.
Today is STILL not that day.

I hate when people use this line wrongly.

Are you saying SG had no choice in the matter? They couldn't make the incorporation smaller than it is right now? Oh, City of Central says hello btw.

I'm gonna bet this effort fails...
And the people of St. George will try again and again until they are successful.

Not at all. I'm saying the lines they used were drawn by BR. It's simple, really.
