Wife got Lyme disease from a tick about 6 years ago. Led to a case of Bell's palsy. It is no joke. She had partial facial paralysis for a long time. Couldn't blink or close her left eye completely for about 6 to 8 months afterward. It has eased up and most days she is fine, but still has some flare ups.
