You should have a problem with this. There is a better way; namely, providing tax incentives for these companies to hire American workers. You and your community would benefit more if US dollars were spent on US employees.

Huge packages were put together to attract these projects. I'm sure they left no stone unturned in negotiations.

but then we wouldnt have US dollars spent on building and maintaining all these all these man camps.

FTR, the people that build and work on these man camps are US employees. For every 20 people you need 1 cook and 1 galley hand. You also need camp bosses, maintenance men, general laborers, etc, to run these camps while the skilled guys are out doing their thing. All they do is come back to the camps, eat, shower and sleep. Rinse and repeat.
