So what brand ice chest is that?

I'd like something that didn't pick up dirt (then scratch the shite out of my board with it).
I would look at some kind of pad or rubber mat for the board then. Seems anything with any grip to it on the chest will transfer dirt. Or just go with a thin rubber type mat and epoxy it to the bottom of the chest.

Anyone know anything about these Moeller ice chests?

You can buy the feet separate...

Yeah they work OK for big arse AJ (put my big AJ in one and it still wouldn't fit; had to close it on the tail )
they'll hold ice for a bit but not great
worth it for transporting big fish

Brand is evaKool, with a kangaroo in the logo.
Evakool is their top of the line fiberglass boxes. IceMate is their polyethylene top product, and icekool is the cheap version that I bought.

Gaston - you can get weather stripping gaskets like/similar to that at Lowes. That one may be rubber, I can't really tell. But got to Lowes and check. All different sizess.

Yea, I'll probably just get both products at Lowes since it will cost prohibitive to buy something online.

Not directed at you specifically, but people care a lot about ice chests these days.

Just found Bayou Ice Boxes and they are about 10 lbs less and about $200 less than Yeti.
This is only $210

It's about to be beach weather yo. The handle ripped off my last small one and when I went to academy to replace it I wasn't satisfied with the selection. I figured I could do better online. I sure as frick didn't want a 17 lb icechest though.

I'm not judging. Just commenting. I would like one of these badass ice chests too, I'm just not willing to pay for one.

That must be a newer version cooler. Mine is a IK025, and doesn't have the inserts.

Mine was $84.55 total to my door, and the reason i didn't go for the $20 igloo is that I need it to float, the top stay latched closed, when I fall off the paddleboard. It should at least do that.

Could you just use some of the weather stripping for feet?
Posted on 4/17/14 at 10:05 am to bbvdd
The idea to apply two rubber strips to the board might be better just so when the chest goes from sand to the board I'm not counting on it being clean.
