Damn, that's impressive something can structurally withstand that beating.

I wonder how the crew's teeth held up...

My boss thinks that is what it is supposed to look like while fishing offshore.

My grandfather sailed through a hurricane in WW2 and I asked if he puked. He said nobody did because they were all to scared to puke.

Never seen waves like that in my time in the service (Navy Reserves), but some of the saltier fellows on the type ships I was always on (frigates and destroyers) tell stories of playing basketball in the spare forward chain locker in storms like that.
Not sure if still true, but 30 years ago, almost all navy ships had two spare chain lockers. One forward, one aft. While not in use, they were used for recreational area's typically. A ship I was on once had a basketball goal set up in the forward chain locker. The saltier guys would play basketball in big storms, and said if you time your jump just right, a 5'5" man could dunk the hell out of a basketball.

The French have the most proven military in Europe now. Check out what they have been doing in Africa lately. Hell, they are the only Euro country to have a seaworthy carrier that can carry and deploy an air wing.

Besides the little mess the French went through during WW2, The French have dominated throughout history.

A DDG in the North Atlantic during the winter is a MISERABLE place to be...
