Want to start following a club

I love soccer, but haven't ever kept up with a team. I don't want to just bandwagon either. Convince me of a good club to be a fan of. If you're a fan of that club, explain why. Thanks

Leicester City will be in the EPL next year and appears like they will have some staying power.

I'll give them a look.
Anybody start following a team after playing with them on FIFA?

They have been so close for so many years. They were in the EPL for quite a while on the 90s and early 2000s.

you need a club for the people, who despite no money keep in upper half of the table
111 years in the top flight, a record

FIFA grew my love of the game.
as a Swansea fan I would say Swansea.
they are a small type club that play an attractive style of football.
The club has a very cool history look for a BBC documentary the fall and rise of Swansea
And there former players and coaches include Roberto Martinez at Everton. Joe Allen Jordan Henderson and Brendon Rodgers at Liverpool
They are mid table club that can compete with the big guys and choke with teams around them which makes the season terrible/great. They are too close to relegation right now so every game is important but its like that for alot of clubs this time a year

Don't just look to the EPL, a lot of other great clubs out there.

Where is Bill Simmons when you need him?

You're a year late to jump on the Liverpool pain train without being considered a bandwagon fan
But seriously as an LFC fan, after years of frustration, it's fantastic to see what Brendan Rodgers is doing with this club. They're playing a great style now and really look sharp.
Leicester is also a good choice

Don't make the mistake of picking someone who just avoids relegation and then signs a popular US player.

Haven't won the league in about 25 years or so.

Just stop. It's dumb to spout off about a teams history and then in the breath deny the bandwagon ness of choosing the club. Does that shite really make you feel better or something?
Damnit son.

o don't even give me that shite
2nd most english titles and the most champions league titles for an english team
including one in recent history
i get it Liverpool was the trendy hispter type pick by most new fans to not look bandwagon like. Anyone who has followed them for a while would even agree.

You and PTbob are made because you're the definition of bandwagon fans
Posted on 4/6/14 at 8:23 am to StraightCashHomey21
I actually didn't know shite about their history when I started following. I just saw a mid-table club that looked to be on the rise.

I don't blame y'all for jumping on the bandwagon during one of the most successful runs in English football history... No one likes a loser..
I chose LFC mainly for the players... The history was a bonus, but I've not personally experienced any of that...
And yes, it was with the knowledge and hope that they could compete for silverware... I would never have chosen them if I knew they would be a team battling relegation every year
