Edit: I am not saying don't fill your 401k.. but you need to also get things you want with in reason.

That girls won't marry an ugly dude just because he's rich.

fricking this. You pretty much just learn ways to act like you know what the hell you're doing when you get older.
Yep. I used to think adults were different than kids. Then I realized that we're all humans, adults have just been here longer.

Bert Bielima would care to differ.

I'm graduating in August and worry about this a lot. I worked hard in school and sacrificed a lot of good times that other people experience, so it really wasn't fun. I have a great job lined up and keep telling myself that it has GOT to be better than what I'm doing now, not the subject matter, but the overall amount of time/stress--but what if it is actually worse?...
My life is much better in the eight months since I finished graduate school than the six years of being a grad student

That you have to work in a corporate field/environment

I dunno, being able to pay for your own vacation and doing whatever you want is pretty fun for me.
I think my Army enlistment was my "crazy" time and it was great. Had a lot of memories that I'll remember forever but not anything I would want to sustain as a lifestyle.

That adults get shite done. I feel like I have to hold the hand of most of my vendors and some of my customers to ever get anything done.

Yea pay attention here.....
WTF is wrong with you.
Working fulltime and going to school and playing rugby was more time consuming and stressful than the real world.
I never enjoyed a Saints game until graduating college. Sundays always loomed with homework, project, computer programs. Work, for me at least, ends at the end of the day.
I like that... ALOT

Engineering tends to not allow for lots of free time

Hahah Hell no. Drinking age was 18 when I was in college. I didn't do jack shite for first 2.5 years then picked up to Deans list for next 2.5. So yea, my frame of reference was when I was focused the last 8 semesters on graduating in ISDS/Finance with over a 3.0 while playing rugby and working 20 hrs a week.
Working in the real world my day starts at 630, ends at 3. No weekend study groups or all night cramming. It's the nature of my job though too. So a little lucky.

Because maybe we're currently enjoying the fruits of our hard work from college, and that's pretty fun in of itself. There's no rule that says that life has to peak in college.

That's reassuring. I'm in grad school and doing the grind to finish.

Exactly man. I have 3 weeks vacation and plenty holidays and personal time in my profession to have a damned good time. Sure I don't get SUmmers off but I wouldn't trade my current place in 'real world' with my successful years(making good grades) at LSU.
