How Many Times Has Chocolate/Cocoa Been "Cooked" Before It Goes In Your Mouth?

My wife and I were contemplating this today. I say it must be about 10 times from the time the plant is cut.

As far as being "cooked" goes I would think that only the roasting of the beans qualifies.

My guess is at the least five times, and goes up from there for more refined cocoa products to be reached.
