Update:

Aguillard has reportedly been asked to resign (which he allegedly refused to do), and could be on the way out.

But the only reason is that he was caught on tape bad-mouthing the director of the LBC, who, up until this point, has been one of his biggest supporters.

The LBC director holds a lot of influence over the LC Board of Trustees (which is a problem, but that's another story). The full board meets in a couple of weeks. If JA refuses to resign, it now looks likely the Board will vote him out (they only failed by four votes last year).

Scruffy was talking to a buddy of his and it is amazing how screwed up this school is.

The way it sounds, there may not be a LC for much longer.

A few thoughts are moving around right now.

Thought 1: Aguillard really has been told to resign or else

Thought 2: Aguillard started this rumor from his own circles in order to turn it around and say satan is at work and trying to ruin LC.

Either option could be true.

If Joe is on the way out the fear is that Hankins will push for another hyper-conservative to continue dictating religion upon LC from the shadows.

Talk about your Career Limiting Moves...

He probably could have skated through this if not for being a fricking bonehead and badmouthing the person who, in effect, is his boss due to his influence over the board.
