I hope you're right. I don't have a problem with a run-first philosophy. I have a problem with the run at all cost and hide your quarterback philosophy.

We did the same thing against Florida and we got a win there too so we know it works on a good defenses. Both Iowa and Florida were known for stopping the pass which is why the plan called for run. Wisconsin loses their entire front seven, so you will see it at the start of next year with some play action passing. Sadly, or maybe stupidly, people don't understand that we'll still throw over 300 passes this year.

Pessimists only see what they want to see. They look at only they past results that confirm their negative thought process. Overly optimistic fans of course tend to ignore all flaws and predict greatness for damn near all of our players.

Level headed fans trend to look at the entire picture and realize that players mature, learn and progress a they get more experience. Some will mature into great players, some will become damn good, some will become very good, etc.

But most importantly level headed fans will have great hope & optimism while trying to be very pragmatic. We won't let one fleeting glance color our entire outlook.
