If you are in the middle of a bomb explosion at 600 mph at 34000 feet you will die seconds later.

Unless it was a bomb at the altitude they would have been at it wasn't quick.

I'm on a flight from ATL to LAX to hop another one to BNE. This hits home. Prayers to those on board.

Roger that
There was no communication from the pilots either, so catastrophic failure must of occurred.

My biggest fear is some kind of failure at 35,000 ft and being alive all the way to the ground. That would suck.

Hope everyone is found safe.

quote:I would have to believe the percussive effects of an explosion alone in that close proximity in a pressurized cabin suddenly decompressed and with no oxygen at 60 degrees below zero, If the initial blast didn't instantly kill you, and flying through shredded metal didn't kill you or the flesh being seared off your body from the jet fuel then most likely within seconds of gulping for air you would black out from oxygen starvation and I'm not sure what the sudden exposure to -60 degrees will do to you, but you're done.

Not trying to be morbid, just hope they went quick. Too many reasons they wouldn't. Would hate to think I'd have to go through more than a second or two of that.

At this point, you also can't rule out mid-air collision. You would think its impossible but planes follow paths/patterns so it is a possibility. I'm sure they'll find debris during the daylight.
God speed.
God speed.

Bomb, over water, explains why no parts of the airplane are being reported as found on land.
hope I'm wrong.
