Geaux Zone + Chromecast = Fail so far

Thought I would report my progress and perhaps get advice. Tried streaming geauxzone games from desktop to TV via chromecast. Everything worked great for the first few innings, then the image starting lagging. A few minutes later the connection would drop and the desktop couldnt find the chromecast. So we had to watch on the computer like last year. I was disappointed.
It certainly could be inconsistency in my home wifi, but I have a fairly new 'n' router, and its been solid up to this point. We used the chromecast for youtube for over an hour more than once, but youtube has native support (you dont need a computer to stream it). So I think its something about the computer to chromecast stream.
Any thoughts? Is anyone getting consistent results with this setup? I am prepare to buy an AppleTV and use my iPad if I cant get it figured out.

My iPad plays it HD and haven't had any problems. Expect the way the tigers played last night

Chromecast works great for me. I had some trouble at first with my old router but then I upgraded to a router that supports up to 450 mpbs. It actually is dual band and supports 450 per frequency.
I'm not sure what to tell you about your setup but it works great for me.

That is good to hear. At least it works for someone. That perhaps means my internal wifi isnt strong enough to handle the stream. I think my router tops at 300 mbps.
Thanks to all for ideas and suggestions.

How old is your computer?
My laptop Chromecasts tabs for shite, but it casts from apps with dedicated Chromecasts features like Netflix and YouTube like a champ. I've been told my computer probably isn't up to snuff.

I have a pretty new computer. Intel i5 something (SandyBridge) with 12Gb of RAM. CPU is about 2 years old. I am pretty certain its not computer.
I think the chromecast does better with netflix and youtube because it supports that natively. All you need is the computer to kick off the streaming, and chromecast basically talks directly with the source(youtube), bypassing your compute. You just need the computer to initiate the stream. With Geauxzone its a constant flow of data from internet, through the computer, to the chromecast.

Airplay from your iphone or ipad to an apple tv is the way to go. Works perfectly for me

By the time we master geauxzone it will be gone.
Isn't there a $4.95 fee to use it on your iPad?

VGA convertor. Thanks for the link. Can't go wrong with wired.

my computer connected to the TV via HDMI cable worked like a champ last night.
Only problem is, the picture must've been off, because it looked like the bigger/ better baseball team was wearing red last night

I haven't used it this year but last year it just worked perfectly. Hate to see it go.

$8.95 I believe, totally worth it to me though.

I just use my laptop and connect it to my TV with an HDMI cord and it works perfectly.
