A&M's offense has been the worst in the SEC. They are shooting 59.6% from the free throw line in SEC play, 30.5% from 3 points range, and 43.6% from two point range.
Do they have anyone who can slash/drive? If so, how tall?
Put Stringer on him if short, Coleman if tall?????

Looking forward to this. This is a road game we should win. When to College Station last year and would love to make the trip again if I could.

They don't have anyone who I'd consider a big threat to drive to the hoop. They are a tall team however. They don't have anyone with more than 71 free throw attempts (JOB has 119 and Mickey has 81) but their guards are 6'4", 6'5", and 6'5".

I was really disappointed with the rebounding in the first half Saturday. Hopefully we can come out strong unlike every other road game

I just really hope the Guys realize the opportunity and grasp it and go and take care of this game. We've had problems winning the over the hump games. Georgia was one that we let slip away. Thankfully some of the other Bubble teams lost games as well so we have another opportunity to gather a win and keep our name in the NCAA Tourney conversation.

Let's do some driving/cutting/slashing to the hoop of our own this game. And my other mantra - set some good screens and defend screens. Fundamentals,

we can't let these skinny little 6'3" guards drive to the lane and score just bc we're scared of fouling

It starts with hedging the screen. We cant really hedge the screen if we are in the 2-3 look. We looked a little better hedging a ball handler in the 2-1-2 but with the post player right next to the rim he was getting boxed out by the opponent C.

I was told how they are suppose to defend the ball screen but they haven't executed the strategy on a consistent basis and it has hurt us. Hopefully the trust and attention to detail is there and we get it done.

Martin should be attacking the bucket damn near everytime he touches it on the wing. With his size and ability, this guy has got to be more than just a spot up shooter.

Some games he's been great with this, then other times he's forced it too much. Still love the idea of him taking the ball to the basket in one on one situations.

I'll be in 122 right behind the bench! I expect a decent amount of purple and gold.

Exactly right. I say this every game, or versions thereof.
Also,on D, If Darcy or Odo are on the court, all they really need to is to stand a few feet fwd of goal with their hands straight up (maybe having to side step a bit) 'cause it makes it very difficult for a player to make a floater in the lane or the 6ft jumper over them. Offensive player just can't see. If scored on over their up stretched hands sometimes, so be it.
Those guys usually have the knee jerk reaction of bringing a hand/arm down on offensive player and bingo, the foul is called.

I do like the way he's taken to offensive rebounding though. He's carved out a little niche turning an offensive board into a quick basket.
