Beer can't offer the flavor of blue Hawaiian or fuzzy navel
Yeah, that's wine.

I would imagine wine is more profitable than craft beer.

I know one chef in particular who moved from a wine based restaurant to a beer based one.
I would imagine this has much more to do with economics then pure taste.
If you live in an area that would support wine over beer you would choose it. The margins on wine must be higher than beer.
Beer is cheaper so it's affordable to a greater audience.

Yes, it is wine. We had a fountain of fuzzy navel at my brothers wedding.
God, I love being trashy.

You can't make a wine ice cream float.

Now you're just trolling. Again.
Beer offers a greater spectrum of flavor profiles than wine. Period. End of story.

Right.
Common sense in business is trolling.
You say a chef switched from wine to beer centered menus.
I say it has more to do with attracting business than pure taste preference.
If it is the chef's preference, than his business model is whack, Son!
If you have no problem filling a restaurant selling a higher margin item then you would.
Period. End of Story.
Take an econ class BMoney.

Economics and Accounting are very different.
I know, I majored in Economics and took too many Accounting classes.

Meh. I prefer not to get into arguments with douchy trolls.

Aren't restaurants in the business of attracting patrons via taste preference?
Posted on 1/31/14 at 1:55 pm to rutiger
I really don't think O brah is trolling. This is topic that can be debated, O brah is just out numbered. I just want to know where the OP went for beers.

Crescent City Brewhouse?
That place sucks. Expensive as hell, not much of a selection. They used to have a bartender there, some guy in his 50s who dyed his beard pink and would wear T-shirts with nasty sayings like "I eat pussy like ovarian cancer."

Is that what this thread is about?

Some, usually with profit as the ultimate goal.
I'll frame this like the AT&T commercial. What's better? Making more money or less money?
Posted on 1/31/14 at 2:26 pm to Oenophile Brah
Depends on the kind of money
