Joe lissard?
Joe Lissard has long been one of the best-kept secrets in the state, but the secret's finally gotten out after LSU head coach Les Miles got a look at Lissard's film.
"Coach Miles said he was really impressed," Lissard related. "On film he saw a quarterback who can really throw the ball. He also said I have good footwork.
"Coach Miles wants me to take an official visit which I'm going to do in January. They're going to let me know about the date. He mentioned LSU already has two quarterbacks committed, but that he's not sure what they're thinking."
Lissard's only offers thus far are from McNeese State and Central Arkansas. He'll visit McNeese on January 18th.
The senior was the Acadiana area's third-leading passer during the 2012 regular season.
The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder completed 169-of-280 attempts for 2,376 yards and 26 TDs (seven interceptions). He tacked on another 525 yards and nine more TDs in the postsesaon.
Lissard led Catholic to the district title and brought the Panthers to the second round of the playoffs. He guided Catholic to the quarters last year.

13. Zach Oliver (QB), 6'4", 190, Catholic of Baton Rouge. Oliver is very smart_ very coachable and will make some school an outstanding quarterback.
quote:
Baton Rouge Catholic senior Zack Oliver has committed to the Wildcats, his high school coach Dale Weiner confirmed on Tuesday, helping make up for Northwestern's loss of Wheaton Warrenville South senior quarterback Reilly O'Toole to Illinois on Monday. Oliver, who is 6-4 and 220 pounds, is considered the 29th best Class of 2011 quarterback by ESPN Scouts, Inc. He led Baton Rouge Catholic to the 5A state semifinals as a junior. He had a 60.4 completion percentage and threw for 2,579 yards, 32 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He also rushed for five touchdowns.
quote:
Northwestern offered Oliver a scholarship last February, but he delayed his decision while waiting to hear from LSU, located in his hometown. When LSU didn’t make a firm commitment, Oliver opted for Northwestern, located in the Chicago suburb of Evanston. Oliver made an unofficial visit to the campus during spring break. "They were asking me to wait so they could evaluate me more," Oliver said of LSU. "I just didn’t know if I had the time they needed."

Zack Oliver was the one from BR that didn't get offered so he went to Nothwestern. Some locals sweared that he was the next great college game manager. Last year for Northwestern: 0 for 2 passing with 1 INT. Best of luck to the kid, though, he's still got a couple of years up there.

How could one forget Stevie Something O'Rather?
Posted on 1/30/14 at 5:57 pm to GreatBrandino
He actually landed at Louisiana College after he left Stephen F Austin. He was a third string QB there. Eventually left there also. Not sure if he is playing anywhere now.

Wasn't Stevie Douglas on MTV true life or something? Anybody remember that? It was definitely 5 or so years ago
