About 79 percent of people who had enrolled through December benefited from subsidies, according to a report from Sebelius’s department.
So who is paying for this massive bill?
It's not a shocker that people are signing up..that was expected when the Gov't mandates that you have insurance. They tout it as some huge success but fail to mention that people are basically forced to have insurance or pay a penalty for no coverage. It's not like Obamacare is a secondary option to the current system that people can choose to use if it benefits them.
The failure of Obamacare will be the heavy costs to the taxpayer, the long waits, shortage of doctors, increased premiums, etc.

Just as with the jobs numbers prior to the 2012 election, expect Obamacare stats to miraculously improve as the midterms approach.
They will readjust after the election.
Obama, his administration, and the dimocratix are all unabashed liars.

I wonder how they are accounting for the 4.8 million that had their policies cancelled. Anyone know?

This.
It doesn't matter if it works, this level of government power must be resisted and destroyed.

You forgot to add the biggie, DL...DEDUCTABLES that render the policy a virtually catastrophic version.
They'll hang in there on fiat money/credit card/national debt...until the individual mandate PENALTIES kick in on the young. That's when the whinning really starts. Of course, Obama will be on the golf course and million dollar speaking circuit by then.
And we put men on the moon.

So, starting with 32 million uninsured persons, the fed govt spent $640 million just for the software to get less than 10% of them to sign up? Great success!
Sorry Russian, you are forgetting the responsible people that had insurance and lost their plans. They had to go to the exchanges and get more expensive coverage.
Since the government won't tell us that number I'm going to assume that's a million people.
I'm then going to assume only half of the 3 million have actually went through and purchased coverage.
I'm going to assume at least a million are Medicaid expansion.
That puts the net effect on actual premium paying Americans at -500k.
Anybody have a problem with those assumptions?

Yep. Ironic thing is my "junk" plan that I'll be losing at the end of the year was a catastrophic plan with a low premium. The "good" plan available in the exchange is a catastrophic plan with four times the premium and most providers out of network. But I'm somehow a deadbeat for wanting to keep the current plan.

Yeah it's hitting its stride, hell just like the labor participation rate, which hasn't been this low since 1978, and Obama dummy's cheer the unemployment rate going down. Umm it's going down because So many have just giving up trying to find work. Thus food stamps recipients doubling. I'm truly amazed at idiots who still defend this boy that America has as president. It's really says a lot about their mindset.

I have not seen a patient yet that BOUGHT Obamacare. The only ones I have with it have $0 premiums, $0 deductibles and copays, so it's a no-brainer they'd sign up. Totally free BCBS here in Arkansas. Sounds good, but how will it be paid for? They are enrolling the MOST EXPENSIVE pt's at zero cost to them.

Solidifying Dem voting block Brah, parents got money simply for breathing, now the kids get that and Obamacare, locking in the votes.

Your #'s are a little off.
McKinsey did a study that was quoted in the WSJ lay week; less than 11% are actually part of the uninsured count in 2012
So AT BEST it's 1% assuming they all paid premiums.
Also don't forget the $2B advertising budget they had for outreach.....cost of acquisition is only $8,250

Assrob, that 3 million enrolled only equates to a 10% enrollment of the 30 million so-called, uninsured.
Onward. Success!

Hmmmmm.
My monthly bill went up $620 a month and my deduction increased. I'm sure it's unrelated. The government would never pick winners and losers. That would be fundamentally Un-American....
