They make dog treats that do. Sometimes Ill just take some toothpaste and smear it across mines tongue. Works in a pinch.

The mint dog treats are a good option. Aren't the Greenies supposed to help as well? I know there is a company out there that makes mouthwash for dogs that you just add to their water bowl also.

Greenies dental treats work well, and they occupy my pup in the morning so I can go back to sleep after I let him out. They also have these vegetarian dental treats I tried that worked just as well or better but I can't remember the name

If your dogs don't tolerate teeth brushing like mine, feeding them carrots does a good job of cleaning their teeth. I think there was a thread here about this a while back. Tried it and have been doing it since. I've noticed a difference.

Stop letting it eat its own sh*t.

Mine has extremely bad breath. None of the treats/deer antlers/greenies crap work. Brushing her teeth every day helps, but that is still not a solution. Some dogs just have bad gum/tooth disease/germs/bacteria. Mine has to have the major tooth cleaning often because of that.
