Those on the rant that think you have to be an alumnus to be a tiger fan.

uhh...wrong!!! Many fans have openly praised the kid and wished him well in the pros. You obviously haven't read too many threads about such things on this site.

Yes. Dumbass, drunk, fans with unrealistic expectations, and thug criminal athletes who are poor representatives of the university for starters.

I was born and raised in BR and was taught LSU cheers before I could spell my name. I will always be a fan. With that being said I do have a friend who just shut it down after 1/9/12. Said she was still a fan but didn't want to see another Les Miles coached game. She finally came around this year and watched a few but the enthusiasm just isn't there like it used to be. Whatever. That's her problem, not mine.

Not an LSU fan, obviously, but

Maybe if a giant meteor 6 2/3 times the size of Tasmania smashed into the Earth and rendered human existence impossible.
Otherwise, no.
Otherwise, no.

I would stop caring if the University was caught in a scandal like Penn State. If there was major cheating and abuse going on with the administration, I would not care again until the people involved were removed from their positions.
I bleed purple and Gold and I also bleed Red and Gold. If LSU ever played my alma mater in a sport, I would support my university. Otherwise, LSU is my school .

Those on the rant that think you have to be an alumnus to be a tiger fan.
Alumni & Donors who are OT Ballers > Sidewalk alumni > T-shirt fans > Bandwagon fans
Without alumni, there is no university much less athletic program. Without fans who aren't alumni, there are still extra-curricular activities in the form of sports for the students to enjoy. And not a single person on the rant has ever said that you can't be a fan if you aren't an alumnus.

Losing, not wining NC every year, losing to ole piss, losing to the gumps 3 years in a row, running the auburn spread offense, having alternate uniforms and helmets like those stupid unis we wore against tulane, auburn and Notre dame

My folks used to drop us kids off at my grandparent's house on Stephens Avenue when they went to the games, which was really cool; Maw Maw and Paw Paw had a color TV! My aunt and uncle, who lived on Hood Avenue, used to have pre-game parties at their house on occassion. Their two daugthers went to Lee (Classes of '64 & '71). My brother, sisters, and I all went to Lee (Classes of '70, '73, '76, & '79).

Could Anything Make You NOT Be an LSU Fan?
I have been an LSU fan my whole life. It was passed down from my Louisiana heritage. Even though I have lived all over, I am still an LSU fan.
Another team trip to the bar , another player hopped up,

If we went with the 'Barbie uniform wardrobe closet' like Oregon, I couldn't watch em. Still love em but would have to wait til the trend wore off.

If players attacked and harmed a member of my family, and the school ignored it and allowed them to continue playing on a technicality, I would find it hard to be a fan.
Other than that ...

What's a sidewalk alumnus?
Also, alumni can be donors without being OT ballers. I used to donate a couple hundred or so a year before going to grad school.
