Downloaded all of his music. Great stuff. Watched a few DVDs of his band. That was an interesting man.

One of my favorites.

Have listened to a bunch of his stuff. I prefer his live music over his studio work. I had a live album of his I found in a bargain bin at Walmart about 15 years ago. Black cover with a pic of him in the middle. Best live album I've ever heard. Had the pleasure of seeing a Hubert Sumlin show about 6 years ago. Shook his hand. I was starstruck.

I keep at least fifteen or twenty songs in my regular rotation at all times.

Love The Wolf! The london sessions are cool with Clapton backing him up.
Henry Gray from Baton Rouge was his pianist for awhile.

Saw them play it NYE in Atlanta... One of my favorite covers they do, and is what got me started listening to HW back in the day.

I'm a big Wolf fan. Here's an interesting tidbit on HW from Wikipedia:
Though functionally illiterate into his 40s, Burnett eventually returned to school, first to earn a General Educational Development (GED), and later to study accounting and other business courses aimed to help his business career.
Thanks to his financial acumen, Wolf did not live or die in poverty, as so many other blues men did. Moreover, he was known for treating his band members well, paying them on time, and providing health insurance (!) and other benefits.
Just an awesome guy all the way around, one of the Gods of the blues straight up.

Led Zeppelin borrowed his song "Killing Floor" and turned it into "Lemon Song." Both classic songs in their own right

You say borrow, he said "stole outright".
The rocking chair album is one of the greatest things ever made. Big fan of the Wolf.

Little red rooster is my favorite. First blues song I remember ever hearing and was hooked from childhood.

first ballot Blues HOFer, on my Mt. Rushmore of bluesmen.
Fierce competition between him and Muddy Waters.
A mammoth on stage and full of energy.
MUST WATCH
Great TV appearance Noteworthy that the Rolling Stones only agreed to appear if Howlin Wolf opened for them.

The Song Forty Four for me. There is a cover by Eric Clapton and Wynton Marsalis on a live concert from Lincoln Center that just freaking kills.
