Update to this? Did you end up doing it and going to Albertsons like another poster suggested? I'm considering doing the same this week to max out my chase freedom bonus category. Is this a safe way to manufactured spend?

Edit: Thought you were talking about 2017 Q1. 2016 Q4 does, infact, include drugstores.
OVGCS can be liquidated at Alberstons, yes.

There were mixed responses after so I did not do it. Instead, I bought about $1200 worth of Amazon gift cards from a Walgreens for the 5% off since I spend a lot on Amazon
