Romo has had the entire fail that is the cowboys on his back for the last three years.
Oh yeah, none of that fail can be attributed to him...

It is appalling that no one has listed Cam Newton in these Top 8 discussions.

Without him they would have been a 4-12 team the last few years. 4100, 4900, AND 3800 yards in his last three seasons with 31, 38, 31 tds with only 10, 19, 10 ints. It is amazing that men with functioning brains can say he sucks

Romo doesn't suck, he's just not an elite QB.
All things equal, if i need a game winning drive, im taking Eli

Can't argue with his ability, but the dude has real issues when it comes to sealing the deal. Hate to use a cliche but he is a choke artist.

Romo is a good QB but not elite.

Brees has 900 more yards, higher completion %, higher passer rating and 35-12 TD/INT compared to 31/10 for Romo.. Brees has definitely had the better year.

Romo has tied or led the NFL with 4th quarter interceptions while leading by 7 points or fewer since 2006.
Most recently, when the Cowboys blew it against the Packers, that can be attributed to defensive meltdown, which definitely gives weight to your comment about him carrying the fail for the Cowboys. But he is not as stellar as you are making him out to be. Another "actual football game as a measuring stick" would be his choking seminar against the Broncos - throwing for 500 yards then blowing it when they need him the most. When the pressure is on, he's shaky.

quote:Tony Romo has the highest career passer rating in the 4th quarter among all active Qbs. And it isnt even close LINK And that is passer rating, not that crap QBR. And led the nfl with ints while leading by 7 or fewer points? Really? how arbitrary is that. But, guess who is second in that category? Thats right, the anointed most clutch QB, Tom Brady

I agree with all this... ELI has more playoff road wins than ANY qb in NFL history..........

Flacco has that record now.
And it doesn't mean anything. Mark Sanchez is tied for 3rd all time, with Len Dawson and Roger Staubach (among others).
