Who owns one and what do you think about it? Likes? Dislikes?
I was looking at one the other day and I really liked the weight and balance of the gun. I have never owned a SIG before but I know they tend to have a great reputation. I was just curious if anyone here had any experience with them?
The particular model I was looking at is the Sig P226 MK 25. There are about 26 different variants from what I can tell on the Sig Sauer website. Any help is much appreciated! TIA!

Good enough for the SEALS.
I think the Elite Stainless could quite possibly be the sexiest handgun ever made. I have never shot one though.

The Elite P220 will be the Sig I own one day. Absolutely beautiful!
Nowhas, the only thing about Sigs I'm not wild about is how tall the slide is. Besides that, they work, they shoot smooth, they look good, and most people like them. If the gun feels good to you, you can't go wrong.

You absolutely cannot go wrong with this gun

I bought one a couple months ago. Shoots great, have shot a few hundred rounds through it and no issues. Shoots great and groups are tight. Wife (no pics) even likes shooting it after telling me I didn't need it.

That is enough for me! If your wife was convinced after telling you didn't need it then it must be a fine weapon.

I own one. I like everything and dislike nothing about it. It reeks of quality.

Would a P220 be a good carry weapon?

I have a 9mm P229 and I love the thing

Depends on your definition of "good carry weapon". Would it work? Yeah absolutely. But it's extremely bulky, pretty heavy and doesn't carry that many rounds for its size. I'd never carry one

I bought one last summer. To me it is the best if you want a high capacity 9mm. Great gun.

The 226 comes in 357 sig if you really want to crack some rounds off.

I have 2 older one made in West Germany. They are probably the best pistols I own.

The 226 is a quality firearm. However, it does have a very high bore axis. If you have smaller hands you might not like it so much either. If you are looking for a metal framed 9mm CZ makes some that are a joy to shoot.

Not a problem for this guy.

Buy it! I bought a 226 in 9mm last year and it's the best shooting handgun I've ever shot. I would buy another one without hesitating.
