Yes, I'm serious. When time is of the essence, I think the guy goes spastic and freezes. I'm not saying he hasn't put a guy back to return a potential missed long kick in the past. What I'm saying is time and time again, when the clock is running down...the guy can't multi-task.
Most recently, he let a TREMENDOUS amount of time run off the clock at the end of the Ole Piss game and though our chances were slim...he called the TO too late to be of any benefit. So...when the guy has to think on his feet, I'm afraid there's a real chance that he gets too focused on the kick...and trying to block a low one...and brain farts w/ no guy back to potentially return it.
Look, I truly love the guy, but he freezes in the crunch...and I feel there's a good chance he would have missed this opportunity. And I base this on his CHRONIC recurrent pattern of screwing up his end game management. I stand by this!
