I make the biggest mess when I pull my filter off. Still no fix for that

Same here...doesn't matter how many layers of bags I use. Always a mess all over me and the power steering rack every time.

I'm not sure what kind of vehicle this is but if it's a spin on filter you can puncture the filter with a hammer and punch (nail, screwdriver, etc) and let it drain before pulling it. I do this on my f250 because the filter holds nearly a half gallon of oil.
Also, the fumoto valve is great. I have one on my truck and one on my wife's highlander.
