Is there an appropriate way to send a message to another poster?
I wanted to get in touch with a particular poster about something, and so I figured the appropriate place was the OT. Now they are telling me I'd better hope I'm not banned for it. Is there any way to acceptably address another poster with a thread?

I usually stalk the poster via their post history then ask the question to their last post.
