Let's see how he does with real pressure on him. Also, point guard is the most overrated position in the league. You don't need a great one to win it all.

No longer on the team? If he is elsewhere and the back up is Rivers it moves it back to a push for me.

And to be fair Holiday wouldn't have most likely sniffed the all star game last season if he was playing in the West.

ryno also plays PF too.

AD/ryno > jones/Dwight depending on how many minutes Dwight gets at the 4

Lin is so overrated that he is underrated as Jeff Van Gundy put it recently. He does a lot of things very well. I think he will fit much better with an offseason with Harden. The Rockets traded for The Beard right before the season started, and suddenly Lin had his ball dominant role taken from him.

so i'm assuming you think lin would've sniffed the all star game if the rockets were an east team?

No, but that's because Harden is on the team. It's almost impossible to have a PG/SG duo on the All-Star team.

I will say that I think the Pels are headed in the right direction.

I hate the tendency of posters (and people in general) to dismiss teams possibly on the rise.

You saw this with the Aggies last year, even Bama when Saban was first there. "They won't be good yet. The process takes time." Next thing you knew, they were winning titles.

Using that logic, Parsons also can play at the 4.

or Asik at the 5 and Howard at the 4.

Any way you look at it, the Rockets have a better front court.

Dave Joeger is a damn good coach and was the designer of the defense we have been known for the last few seasons. Plus the players love him

I like Joeger, but he has to do actually coach a game first. And he was already on the staff last year, so how much an improvement can it possibly be?

What is the argument against Mike Miller being a good pick up?

He's 33, hasn't played a full season since his rookie year (missed 40% of games the last 4 seasons), and can't play D.

quote:

Kosta Koufos would most likely be the starting center for over half the teams in the NBA and started 70+ games for the Nuggets last season

He would maybe start on 6 teams (BOS, DAL, LAL, NO, PHI, POR).

quote:

Nick Calathes has been one of if not the best player in Europe the past couple of years and was a first round player coming out of Florida.

He wasn't a first round pick.

You can't say the Griz improved that much in the off season.

your buddy is the one who started that line of logic. I don't watch Houston enough to know how much time parsons got at the 4. ryno sees significant minutes at it. he included Dwight at the 4 I have no idea how many minutes he plays there.

the rockets definitely have a better front court that is not what we are debating

Yes. I think he would make the All-Star team. I don't think he is that good though. Linsanity happens when his teammates suck. The Rockets are too good to have a player try to do it all while turning the ball over constantly.

The All-Star game is not always a good measurement of how good a player is. Good players on bad teams usually have better stats than great players on a great teams.

Early prediction based one next to nothing valuable: they win 59 games, good enough for the 2 seed.
