How does a college from Oregon have such a good football team every year?

How do they get the recruits?
Seriously. How did Oregon convince so many people to come play football in Oregon?
I would assume most of their recruits are out of state, because I can't imagine Oregon being a hot bed for football talent.

Have you seen their facilities? Getting all that money from Phil Knight tends to help with the recruiting part

What does Nike have to do with it?

Why did good (that is, black) players go to Nebraska for so many years?
Posted on 9/28/13 at 10:14 pm to PrimeTime Money
they had a big pipeline to TX, even before the scandal
they have amazing facilities, are Nike's golden child, and get the best unis that recruits love
UO gets talent, but if you look at a lot of their guys, they're not recruited by major schools

Nike's helped a lot, but they do a good job of heavily recruiting Cali and sprinkling in recruits from all across the nation.

I just can't see why so many players would rather play out of state in Oregon because they have a pretty weight room when they could play in state at a school like USC or UCLA.

they recruit a system that allows them to take underrated (typicaly due to size) players
mariotta was a nobody 2 or 3 star recruit
lamichael james was a 3-star who wasn't heavily recruited b/c he was small as frick
pretty sure dion jordan was not a big recruit, but was a superb athlete with a good frame

How did a school like Nebraska get great recruits?
How did a school like Nebraska build a program from nothing to a powerhouse?

Facilities is one reason. Wanting to win is another.

It isn't exactly hard to get legally
But the players couldn't smoke it even if it was.
