My Dad had a coversation a while back with the coach for W Monroe. He said that when Cam visited the Gumps, they rolled out the red carpet, had Saban and other coaches waiting on him along with a few influential players. They bacically catered to his every need and made him feel wanted and important.
On his LSU visit, the coach said Cam was clueless about where to go, and that they ended up parking in the field and had to walk a ways to see where to go. They didn't give him direction and he felt like they showed no interest in him just by the lack of a welcoming. It took several hours before he got to meet with Les.
He said that just the way he arrived at each campus and the way that the coaches and staff treated him, that he made it seem Bama wanted him more. I think that put a chip on his shoulder that LSU didn't show him the same type of treatment he got at Bama. There were other factors between the two visits, but coming from the mouth of his coach......wow, the staff dropped the ball big time. If the staff would of given him the same type of, or even better treatment, then I think things would have been different.
Lets hope we start pulling out the red carpet from here on out.

Yeah that was same day I was talking about a couple weeks ago. I talked about the incident when it happened on here. The consensus was, "They're only juniors. Who cares? Our coaches were busy coaching. This won't have any affect on their recruitment. If they have a problem, they can go somewhere else".

I used to help LSU recruit the Coastal Virginia area, which is full of major talent. Since some of my contacts have left, they basically have told me to "stop helping". LSU totally dropped the ball when we had Justin Hunter wrapped up. I'm not sure what you call it, "red carpet" or just common sense, but I think they need some good Southern hospitality lessons.

I call bs on this. Did the guy we wanted from Florida, Kain Daub, say we rolled out the red carpet for him and that is why he committed to us. I realize he has since decommitted and committed to FSU, but why do this for one recruit and not for another? Doesn't make any sense. I realize one guy is out of state and on defense and the other is instate and on offense. Just doesn't add up to me.
