never said it was certain but it is certainly possible.
Again, anything is possible, but thinking they might go 11-1 is completely delusional.

If they did go 11-1 and if the things I listed as required circumstances fell into place, why not?
Because a 1 loss Florida State or Clemson would go in front of a 1 loss TCU and a 2 loss SEC Champ would deservingly go before them as well.
ETA: shite, so would a 1 loss Ohio State.
You also didn't even say a 2 loss SEC team. If the SEC Champion, Florida State, Clemson, Ohio State, Oregon and TCU all have one loss...TCU has absolutely no chance to play for the National Championship. None.

1 loss Clemson maybe
FLST only has FL and Clemson to bolster the schedule. don't think a 1 loss flastate bumps TCU. Honestly I don't see a 1 loss ACC team but I could be wrong.
a 2 loss SEC team may not be able to bump a 1 loss TCU but it is possible.
the Big 10 is considered fairly week this year and a 1 loss Ohio could have too weak of a schedule to jump the big 12 champ.

Wait a damn second. You post the word 'scoff' in the thread title and expect not to be mocked?
Turn your head and scoff.

Homerisms aside, I really don't understand TCU's confidence going into this thing.

very nice well thought out post thank you

Kicking game plays a significant role in EVERY game. You should learn more about the sport you love so you dont make such vague, blanket statements. Maybe research schemes, plays, gaps etc. Then you would have something interesting to say, that we dont already know

Laugh all you want but you made a dumb thread with an obvious statement. Hey
I got one for you: the game is going to come down to scoring points by either offense, defense, or special teams. Both teams will key on stopping the run and their offenses will try to run the ball. There will be some passing to set up the run, and then more running. Soinds like every dumbed down pre game analysis for dummy football fans, which seems like MOST football fans

Holy shite, bud. I started a thread where I specifically noted that both teams have strong defenses and are likely to cause drives to be incomplete. This will put a priority on FG and punts. Some games have more emphasis on kicker than other games. Some coaches have more predilection to patiently take a FG than force a turnover on downs trying to go for the TD.
And if you did not notice, MANY MANY MANY LSU fans sadly believe the only place kicking in this game will be by LSU on kick offs with the exception of one TCU kickoff and all the punting will be by TCU.
Your semantic argument is weak and the incorrect assumption that I don't know football is laughable. so why don't you just ebbbandflow your sorry arse out of here.

were you at any of the games in 2011
Yeah
This one in particular against Oregon. Yeah it was tight for a good portion of the game.
I'd love for the tigers to be on cruise control in the 3rd.

Oh is that it? Two good defenses playing a field position battle? Who knew. You're overwhelming me with your non-laughable knowledge of the game. Yes, LSU kickers are good. Be afraid. Any in-depth topics about maybe using your defensive aggressiveness against you by running counter plays, draws, and screens? Thats what makes a real football conversation

Sure, but if TCU can lose by 22 to Okie State and 14 to Iowa State surely a dominating performance by LSU wouldn't be unrealistic.
Also, that Oregon team was a top 5 team.
The loss to Okie State is legit.
I would not read anything into the loss to ISU. It was the first B12 game for TCU, Treyvon was a running back until Thursday, when they threw the QB playbook at him.

This was a thread about kicking.
Unless you want to talk about the utilization of a place kicker or punter for a fake, which would be against the character of either coach this early in the season, why would I want to get into details about offensive schemes, sets, etc? Are you dense or just obtuse?

What are you doing?
We don't even discuss fake punts.
We don't even mention fake punts.
Never.
Ever.
Seriously dude.
That's like spraying frog poison all over your lawn. That's like drinking all the beer before the party starts. This is just not done.
What kind of a TCU fan are you?
