Cheers and Jeers from Friday's game.

I DVRed the game and watched it yesterday and here are my Cheers and Jeers from what I saw.
Cheers:
Ramon Humber - He did great filling in for Curtis Lofton. He was very active, made great reads and was always in the backfield.
Jeers:
Will Smith - He is just so damn bad at the OLB spot. The one time he wasn't blocked he got to the QB and still didn't bring him down cleanly. A decent QB would have gotten away from him.
Cheers:
Kenny Vaccaro - He didn't make any spectacular plays, but the kid was all over the field and showed the attitude and hustle this defense needs.
Jeers:
Jed Collins - I was really watching Mark Ingram, but as I watched and rewatched all of his runs, I noticed that Collins missed his block and didn't block anyone about five times in a row. He'd just run around or through the line for about eight yards and then just turn around. Even in pass protection he didn't look great, rarely chiping on a guy before he released out of the backfield. I expected Smith to look bad, but not Collins.
Cheers:
Ryan Griffin - He may have been the 2nd best QB to take the field on Friday. That's not saying much, but the kid is impressing the hell out of me. If he continues to play this well, I wouldn't mind if Payton made him the back up this year. And actually, I'd like to see him maybe get some snaps with the second team.
Jeers:
Damn the Raiders are terrible!!!
Cadet looked bad on Friday. Not helping himself make this team.
Cheers:
Yeah, these two guys are good.
Jodan is still playing well, although I think the Raiders make it look too easy.
Foster has continued to impress. He and Jenkins have really taken over that second unit.
They continue to feed Stills and he continues to step up. Really nice showing from the rookie.
Anyone else see anything they really liked or didn't like on Friday? (Besides Ingram)

Good sight to see Toon catching a long haul.

Had a terrible feed on laptop. How did Robinson look at rb? I hear he is beastly

If Cadet makes this team over Robinson, it will be an injustice.

Both Toon and Stills looks awesome.
Toon is much faster than I anticipated.
I'm gonna enjoy watching these guys in the future.
Although I'd like to see more of Tanner.
I barely noticed him.
I guess that was because Wallace was sucking so hard.

Cadet had a bad game but has a pretty good resume. Remember cadet and k rob are different style backs. K rob may have an advantage if they are trying to look for an ivory replacement.

Ill gouge my eyes out if Cadet is returning kicks week 1. Worst return man in the league. Fumbling problem. NO vision. Breaks everything outside to avoid contact.
Robinson has good vision and wants to hit someone.

He runs hard. He's no Ivory, but he runs really hard. He's probably a little quicker than Ivory. Maybe a mix between Ivory and Sproles. (quick steps like Sproles that is)
Not sure how he would look against first or second teamers, but he's done well so far. He's definitely outplaying Cadet so far.
Against the Raiders he had 10 carries for 50 yards and 2 receptions for 28 yards.

Wallace looked terrible. He's got a good arm, but he was bad. Like I said, I'd like to see what Griffin can do with the second teamers. He's got some zip on his throws.

There's a lot I'm stoked about with this team going into the season. I can't wait to see what Stills and Toon will contribute. Parker seems to be the last guy in at WR and he's looked pretty decent, but stills and toon may be the next two WRs Brees gets a good contract for on this team.
Cam Jordan = FAP FAP FAP FAP FAP. Holy shite he's going to be a household name after this season IMO. Just think how upset half this board was with picking him in the draft In general, the D line seems to be the best part of this defense and that's really refreshing after some recent years. This 3-4 switch is benefitting a lot of players we already had on the team before FA and the draft.
It's great seeing Ramon Humber all over the field. We need as many LBs contributing as we can get going into this 3-4 and every time I looked up he was making plays in this game.
Agreed on Cadet. I've tried and tried to like the guy. He has some nice moves but every time he touches the ball a part of me is worried he'll cough it up.
I've seen some hate on Ingram but I don't agree with most of it. The only thing I'm hating is the possibility of PT getting that much less playing time. I think Ingram will blow up this year, though. He looks A LOT more agile. There was one play he made a beautiful cut back to the inside that I'm not sure he would have made in the past.
Overall, I'm as excited about this season as any. The defense looks like they can actually wrap up and tackle, penetrate the offensive line and actually get to the qb. That and Payton being back and most likely ready to frick the league, I'm having a hard time hiding this boner.

The time Smith got immediate pressure, he was simply unblocked. He played better than the week before, but still.

Ingram
9 for 30 rushing ain't gonna cut it.
Against the freaking Raiders!

Did they move him this week? I thought he played the Strong side last week. This week, he played the Jack/rush (weak side). I may be wrong, but that can explain him not looking like turkey dump in coverage.

I'm not looking forward to his 15 touches a game. Good news is that PT will be back soon.

I'm gonna rewatch the first half again and take notes on just him.

Both Ingram and Cadet should be on double secret probation. One more bad game -- see ya.

I don't know about "see ya", but I would give some carries to other guys. Robinson for example. See what that kid can do with the 1s and 2s. Just don't ask him to block.
However, I did like that I saw them actually pass out of a set with Ingram.

Humber played really well; Hawthorne was decently solid. Ingram had a decent game. And Toon's long catch was also nice to see.
I'd like to cheer for Charlie Brown, too.

I keep waiting to see the breakaway ability Ingram had in college.
And waiting...

So we're gonna cut him?
No I don't think.
