Have not seen it yet but have some DVD's. Is it as good as everyone says. I have heard that it is better than breaking bad.

Yes.

Personal preference, can't go wrong with either, but I think it's better than BB.

I like how there have been 500 threads here about GoT, but you still title yours "Game of Thrones"
Indomitable simplicity

IS THIS THREAD FOR NON-READERS??????

Nope. All the threads on this board, the critics, fan websites, millions of views / DVD sales and "everyone" saying it is great is all an orchestrated plot to get you to waste your time.

It's fantastic, and VERY easy to catch up on.
But seriously, do yourself a favor and avoid and and all GoT discussion on this board until you're caught up...there are TONS of spoilers around here (even in places where they shouldn't be).

Only one way to find out...
It's fun to watch a show that's about a fictional past and before.....the intrawebs were EVERYWHERE...

Good show, not great. Definitely over-hyped. Season 3 was the worst of the 3 IMO but it's still entertaining.

Ask Jaime about it, he can give you a hand with the review.

Watch all 3 seasons and read the books. You won't be disappointed.
ETA:

I like BB more but GoT is pretty good. I honestly thought it was above average watching the first 2.5 seasons marathon style but started to like it a lot more when I had to wait a week in between episodes. Then I started reading the books and rewatching the episodes and I'm hooked.
Just know it's a little hard to catch on at first. I used the family chart that came in the first DVD box and that helped a lot. Also read ew weekly recaps for every episode you watch to make sure you didn't miss anything important(avoid spoilers though)

Before HBO ever approached Martin for the rights there were probably 20 GoT/ASOIAF threads a year between here and the OT. Its been a longtime interest around here.
