Bear hunters... Question

When you shoot a bear and it doesnt die immediately, does it moan, whimper and whine until it dies?
Reason i ask is because i was watching a hunting show and the guy shot a bear with a 44mag. The guy was all excited and then you could hear this loud roar moan in the background.
Usually that is edited out or he shouldve chosen a more effective weapon

Hunting bear, don't get it. I would like a bear skin though. Id rather shoot one with a camera.

I've only strangled them to death. They squirm but the vice like grip I apply doesn't really allow them to verbalize their pain. I have to see it in their pupils

Yea. I personally think shooting a bear over barrels of bait is chicken shite
Supposedly they taste good but just not my thing
Now the guy who shot a kodiak at 5 yards with a long bow. That dude is the man

Admit that you have a soft spot in your heart and/ or your inner sportsman has different viewers than others that hunt habitat more conducive to the prey mentioned.
The "calling out" of another for doing something like shooting bears is stupid IMO and welcome any man to dispute or challenge it

I've been to Canada twice on bear hunts. First time was with rifle , over bait, was pretty anticlimactic. Decided to try it again with my bow. Was a little more exciting but not much. Not something I'll probably do again. Both times the bears fell within sight and did a "death moan". Sounded kinda creepy but was glad I heard it do that before I approached it with just a bow. The bow trip the guide gave me sandwiches, chips, and drinks for the stand. I asked him about spooking bears if I ate while sitting there. He said ABSOLUTLY not, in fact if I have any scraps left to just throw them toward the bait barrel! Yeah so pretty chicken shite hunt. Now stalking and shooting a brown bear with my bow. That would be interesting!

Agree. Lot's of starving guides will use this tactic anyway. Most bear hunting shows you watch are baited bear, they just don't like to tell you that part. I don't know if it chicken shite, but it's lazy.
I've never heard a wounded adult, but have heard wounded cubs and it's disturbing.

Does he go by Buck? If so, I've heard of him. He has a lodge in the interior, or operates out of it. He has a pretty good reputation.

Bear I ate was arrowed out of an apple orchard in Washington state. Grilled with onions and made fajitas. Tasted like raccoon.

Man, those are a freaking trip. Amazing experience and go for it if you get the chance. Once in a lifetime experience. Not only get to hunt, but fish as well.

This, I also do not like feeder hunting deer. Hunt=stalk, learn the wildlife, the land and take one if you can. Anyone can take an animal on a paid hunt. Now if you want to bait hogs, do it.

No soft spot here
Id love to stalk one and at any moment have an opportunity for him to turn around and get me. More like a grizzly or kodiak for me.
And if im not going to eat it, im most likely not killing it. Now if i it was survival and zombie apocalypse, id kill one quick
Just these bait barrel hunts look weak. And that death moan was eerie to say the least. My gf said something about it. Just thought it shouldve been edited out for public tv.

Hogs, coyotes, kill'em. Bobcats within reason. Out here Ranchers kill every big cat (mountain lion) that is seen. I understand it as they take livestock but I would not take one. Let me add that most Ranchers out her are conservationists. Big cats are rarely seen so few are taken.
