Just read his bio. The dude has some serious self confidence issues. No self-respecting journalist would play up his "amateur MMA" career like that.
What's more is that article would be tough to read for the most objective fan. It doesn't flow well, it's dropping with anger and bias. He even trys to make it seem like he's being an "investigative journalist".
The dude just isn't good.
Never heard of him and likely never will again. He'll be tossed into the ever crowded "sensationalist a-hole" bin.

It tells just about all You need to know.

So you're ok with someone taking a 10 second clip from one of the worst moments in your life and labeling you?

Nah. It just tells me he did something stupid. Like 50 percent of other college students. Now if he would have kept beating the dude while he was on the ground or something than I would maybe consider him a "violent predator".
One punch that's not even full force isn't too big of a deal.

If I'm caught on film running someone down and cheap shotting them from the side, I'd have no problem with someone labeling me as violent
And I doubt that is the worst moment of his life. He seems to be enjoying himself quite well.
Which is why it's funny that people think something happened before that. I don't see people being called racial slurs running around laughing. If it makes you that upset, it's handled then and there.

This is more telling of your thought process on this than any other statement. Carry on.

My thought process? Lol
He was laughing and hi fiving. Fact.

So you don't think anything happened before that? What with the second guy that hit him in the video having his shirt nearly ripped completely off? You're probably right, nothing happened.
Posted on 7/14/13 at 2:11 pm to Fububutsy
I don't think anything of note involving Hill happened beforehand

Why is Hill a violent predator, with multiple convictions at age 20? Because something's wrong with him. Why is he still on the football team at LSU? Because something's wrong with LSU. Hill doesn't belong at Tiger Stadium being celebrated by 92,542 LSU fans, but if the courts in Louisiana won't lock him away, far be it from LSU coach Les Miles to keep him away. Miles earns $4.3 million a year to win football games, so he's not into doing the right thing. He's into doing the winning thing -- and Jeremy Hill helps him win. Hill is a great running back but a scary guy, viciously indiscriminant, guilty of preying sexually on a girl and preying violently on a young man.
I don't even ...
This is hackery at its finest. Can I get a job where I write poorly and just make stuff up?

I don't know if "make up" is really the right term. Sensationalism and hyperbole fit the bill better.

Hill is a violent predator - neither situation warrants that assessemtn.
Something's wrong with him - how does Doyel know? Because of 2 incidents?
Something's wrong with LSU - really? Here is the real issue. Doyel just hates LSU and thinks that a big school in the South that has football success must be corrupt and wrong and sick. Why doesn't Doyel just get another job?
Hill doesn't belong at Tiger Stadium - based on what, exactly?
If the courts in Louisiana won't lock him away - implying that Louisiana Court System is corrupt and biased.
Miles is not doing the right thing - all Miles cares about is winning. Kicked Perriloux and Mathieu off the team, suspended Jordan Jefferson for 4 games. Why won't Miles ever get credit?
He's doing the winning thing. - Maybe the facts of the case warrant Miles making a decision different from what Doyel wants?
Hill is a scary guy - really? Ever met him?
Viciously indiscriminant - because of an experience in high school and when he was at a bar as a college student.
Preying sexually on a girl - does Doyel know what actually happened here, or is he just trying to frame it in the worst possible way?
Preying violently on a young man - makes it sound like Hill was sitting in the bushes waiting for him to come home at night and while he was getting out his keys at the front door, Hill jumps out of the bushes or something.
Yeah, Doyel made stuff up.

What did he make up? Let's see...
There is very little evidence to call Hill a "predator". He has two misdemeanor convictions. That's hardly a "predator", by any stretch of the word.
Conjecture. What's wrong with him? Is Hill a fundamentally "wrong" person? I'm uncomfortable with labeling anyone like that, without some serious evidence to back it up. Which doesn't exist here.
Miles has consistently suspended or dismissed players who have acted out of line. There is almost no evidence that Miles runs a "lawless" program or that he turns a blind eye to his players offenses. Quite the opposite, actually. And I'd point out that Hill is currently indefinitely suspended.
Opinion. But made up as well.
Is Doyel insinuating that the BR courts are corrupt? That he got a free pass from the justice system because he plays football? There is nothing to support that interpretation. The courts didn't lock him away because he is guilty of two misdemeanors, and if we locked away every kid with two misdemeanors, our jails would be even more overcrowded than they are now. Also, I point out again, Hill is currently suspended and not allowed to do anything with the team right now. So he is being "kept away".
Miles is the only coach in the history of college football to throw a Heisman finalist off his team without that player having a single arrest. The only one. It's absolutely false to suggest Miles has no interest in the "right thing", and he's shown a very active interest in it.
That's absolutely true. Points there.
Also true
Not really. I'm not afraid of Hill. Do you think he's a danger to society? Honestly? I wouldn't want him dating my daughter, but I also don't think he's Capone or anything.
Nothing to suggest this. Absolutely nothing. In fact, this fight was pretty darn targeted at one dude.
"Preying"? Really? I don't know the facts of the case, and neither does Doyel, or you, as it is under seal. He is guilty of having carnal knowledge of a 14 year old. Anything else is unproven and untried. He was not convicted of stalking or sexual assault. Preying is a very strong word. Maybe it he did prey on her, but I honestly don't know. Neither does Doyel. He can't know.
It was an f'n bar fight. Whatever. The number of people in a bar fight number in the millions. I would not say millions of people preyed on people violently. In fact, given the video, it seems we catch the middle of the fight. We have absolutely no idea... NONE.. who started it and why. More importantly, neither does Doyel.
Portraying him as some animal is insulting, and an extreme reading of the facts of the record. It is possible Doyel's reading is true, but it is certainly not actually proven by the facts we know.
