Id say that OL attrition hurt him overall more than QB development. We had absolutely no depth in our down years and it affected the clock in JJ/JL's head
Contradicts your OP concerning '09, the worst LSU OL I'd seen in some time.
LSU didn't have near a good enough OL to win the SECW, much less NC.
<1600yds and 3.6ypc won't get it done.
Pass blocking was atrocious also allowing over 30 sacks and double that in hurries.

I'll say '06 and '11 was very possible, but '05 wasn't quite there and neither were '08, '10, and '12

'08 was just barely good enough run OL, but the D was down and suffered from TOs handing opp short fields.
I recall it being 18int for around 25yd avg and prolly disheartened the already maligned defense.

2010 OL shown flashes of 2011, but were inconsistent and the QBs were now worse off than when they signed.
This year supports "it affected the clock in JJ/JL's head", plus the development in the Wiz system hadn't seemed to help one bit , seemingly regressing.
Krags brouht both QBs quite a way out of that 2010 funk.

2012 I'd place OL close to 2008 run blocking's low 4s ypc, but maybe even 2009 level late, and 2009 pass blocking (30+ sacks both).
The OL ypc drop off last 4-5 games is disturbing and wouldn't sustain through SECG, playoff or NC game IMO.
I hope Cameron can straighten that out or he could have a rough initiation.

As far as 09 goes... A great QB can do wonders for a bad OL... Just ask gene chizik
