I've looked at some outstanding SeaArk aluminum bay boats at Redmond's in Lafayette

I need to go check them out. I know he sells Nautic Star also.

As long as you don't leave them in the sun for 10 years they'll last forever. It's not like its floating around looking for a place to break in half.

Hell I'd pit a fiberglass boat against a rock jettie before some of the aluminum boats out there. Fiberglass is strong shite.

Yep. That's all I've ever fished out of in saltwater, one never broke in half. Not to mention they have a much better ride that an aluminum.

As far as not being able to get into skinny water with a glass boat, if the water is too shallow for the baby Carolina skiff we have, I don't need to be there.

I know where there's a 22 foot pathfinder that drafts about 7"

I ain't worried about getting in less than that

Saw a 2200 series pathfinder at Cecil's yesterday in cocodrie. Was staring at it so hard I pumped gas onto the floor of my dad's boat.

With the brands you named I would go with frontier. It's a joke saying an aluminum fishing boat would be better than fiberglass.

They sell Xpress and Excel noats at Boats Unlimited in BR.

Which is where I bought my glass boat.

I like Xpress but they badly need to offer a bigger fuel tank in their big bay boats.

They sell them both in Alexandria too @ Real Deal Marine. They look very similar.

I mostly fished out of fiberglass. Even at toledo. We have only ripped 2 hulls. Both on metal that was hammered into a stump (fricken moorons). It is the motors that catch hell not the hull. I am thinking of a big aluminum and might go down by morgan city and check out a custom built one.

A good glass boat with hydro trim tabs and a hydro jackate can run wide open in a puddle.
