I don't see how you can get in a shouting match with Coach Mcgaughey. He is super intelligent and a nice guy(maybe not on the practice field)
ETA: And a bonus pic for our very own LSU stud Cutrera coming to the rescue...

Somebody needs to tell Wing he is a freakin' punter.

Freaking punter with a TD on his resume!
Screw that flag, Wing earned it.
Eta: Which is exactly as many as that Rant darling DeAngelo Benton, I might add.

The 22-year-old Australian was arrested in 2011 for simple battery, engaged in a shouting match with McGaughey during a contest and was suspended for LSU's bowl game this year after a failed drug test.
sounds like Manziel. Arrested in bar fight, full year suspension was reduced to nothing. Shouting then pushing assistant coach to the ground. High school senior year was arrested from underage drinking, giving police fake ids etc...
It's funny when it's Manziel, everybody is like "kids will be kids" anybody else is a tPOS.

Are you freaking kidding me? This guy is an angel compared to the Plexico Burress, Pacman Jones, Donte Hit n Run Stallworth jackasses of the world

None of those guys are punters. The NFL has one mouthy punter and he got cut for it this offseason.

He will find his place somewhere..kids a talent

Punters are easy to find. No team wants to deal with a head case, especially one that's only a punter.

he is competing for the job with Donnie Jones

31 arrests of NFL players since the Super Bowl.
I don't think it will affect anything. If he punts well, he will be on the team. If he has one game where he pins a team inside the 10 a couple times, they will realize that his ability is a major asset and tbh, special teams were the reason we were so successful in 2011-12.
Diva or not, he will get his chance.

As much fun as the 2011 team was to watch, he was part of a team that was all about "I." That eventually led to their failure in the NCG.
Ohhhh. So it didn't have anything to do with a second-chance, hell bent-on-revenge, made no mistakes Alabama team? Great to know.

He's a fricking punter.
Why would you get a raving lunatic when you could get a clean cut person.
Seriously, what is the difference between an average punter and the best punter? Maybe 2-3 yards per punt?

Arrogant prima donnas like Wing are receivers, QBs, etc. they aren't punters or kickers. Kickers also have more value than punters. Look at Mike Vanderjagt and his time with the Colts. Dude couldn't keep his pie hole shut. Just keep your mouth shut and produce. Wing could learn a lot from players like Adam Vinatieri who took Vanderjagt's place in Indy.

This is not true no matter how many people think it. Here are his 2011 stats vs 2012.
2011 59 punts 2,618 yards, 44.4 average. 5 touchbacks
2012 59 punts 2,643 yards, 44.8 average, 10 touchbacks
Pretty freakish that he had exactly the same number of punts each year. But as you can see he had a better average his second year. Yes, he did put more in the end zone which was disappointing. But really he had a way over the top year in 20ll when we were able to down so many next to the goal line. However, consider also, that he did not have Mathieu there the second year to down them.

He's a punter, not a top flight WR. Teams aren't going to put up with his shite. And rightfully so. He wasn't nearly as good as he thinks he is last year.

He had 5 more touchbacks and a few critical 20 yard punts that really fricked the team over. He is in a position that, in the NFL, does not have any room for error.

Dude is an undrafted FA punter with a reputation for drug use, disrespect, and an "I" mentality.
Yet the OP wants to compare him to Tom Brady.
I will be surprised if he ever makes an NFL roster.

I consider him the best punter in the history of the program, and I hope he gets it turned around attitude-wise and grows into a man sooner rather then later, but let's not tell each other lies; he HATED being a college student, had a horrible sense of entitlement, a bad temper, and was not a "locker room guy". He walked the thin line the whole time he was at LSU.
