Opened your IPA at our board meeting last night. I thought it was really well done. Would drink it before a lot of the commercial examples we have in available
Thanks man. I wish you could have tried it 2 weeks ago. It really was a completely different IPA. It is still good now but it was way more aromatic and hop forward. My brother in law tried it then, and he's a recent convert to the craft brews, thanks to me. And he said the same thing. He loves the beer, but he said that when we had it 2 weeks ago, it tasted like a different beer.
I am surpised at how dark it is, considering how low the crystal amount was. It was 84% 2 row, 7% crystal 15, 4.5 vienna and 4.5% acidulated malt. Clocked in at 7 SRM.
My next IPA is already designed and will be much lighter, beersmith tells me 4.7 SRM.
