The first two were legit, third was a dive. However, we should have gotten 2 more PKs.

Yea hard to argue that. The ref had a pretty poor match. Inconsistencies with nearly every call.

First pen was legit. Second was soft, but it was a pen. Third was clearly a dive. Flanagan and Rafael both should have been off.

Still the better team on the day. Moyes' tactics were baffling. Shocked (not really) that he didn't make a change at half.

Sturridge: knock that shite off.

Referree was bad both ways - however, it was baffling in several ways that could/would have been more in our favor.

We had a dive that should have been a yellow for Sturridge. It was called a PK. Flanagan could have been given a second yellow. Other than that, there wasn't too much that should have been called on us.

There were two other moments that could/should have been a PK for us as well, but I think the ref believed the game was well in hand at the time.

Suarez was knocked around all day and rarely flopped (especially when the ball was still nearby ) and impressed me with his keeping his feet and trying to do something with the ball. Sturride seemed to play his normal part today. Perhaps Danny boy was saving it for a match like this?

Stevie could have had the first PK hat trick in PL history, but hit the post with his third.

Thanks boys, it's brutal being at work today. I still can't get over 3-0 at Trafford.

yeah, I honestly thought Vidic got him in real time, but obviously there wasn't any contact... however, Carrick did get him later..

On another note, so much class in that one play by Suarez and De Gea...

Sterling was massive for us as well. He played really well linking play between the backline/Stevie and the boys up front

He did play well in the hole, but I still thought we missed some creativity from Coutinho. And Allen wasn't that bad either, but I think we are at our best with both Sterling and Coutinho on the field

Creatively yes, but Coutinho gets caught out of position too many times. We saw that against Arsenal the first time we played them this year.

Allen is much better in a holding mid position and his shape is much better at times than Coutinho. Once Cou learns how to keep his shape he will be starting again.

Well I think that's the trade off. His fluidity helps create a lot of chances, but it will cause him to go missing at times. And for the same reason, Allen helps our defending and pressing, but when he goes forward, he just tends to not be very productive. Too bad we can't play with 12

Oh absolutely, but when you control the midfield, you have a huge advantage especially when you are away from Anfield. Controlling the midfield helped us control the match today in large portions and seemed to quell the crowd which helped us too

And that's why I love having Brendan. He's done so well to adapt to this team and he's made some absolutely brilliant moves looking back so I'm glad we have him

That plus Manu kept hacking players in the box. Sturridge PK call was bs but he was hacked down a couple mins later by carrick so evened out.

Pool was clearly better. The creativity of Suarez and Sturridge is so far superior to Rooney and RVP it's not even close.

He looks frustrated out there and I thought he gave a lot of good effort... RVP I barely noticed was playing..

For me Hendo was the unsung hero today. I don't think I've ever seen him cover the pitch defensively like he did this morning. I absolutely love the guy for his heart. It was vital to the 3 points today.

I've been working way to much lately and not posting. Top four looks sorted, just comes down the order now. Quick thoughts-

We have a legit shot. Let's get one for Gerrard before he is done.

Give Moyes a 20 year contract and that statue he deserves in the Anfield basement.

I always loved Suarez even when he didn't love us back.

Brendan in the post game presser:

Q: Was that your best day as Liverpool manager?
A: No. Everyday of my life is.

I think it is absolutely imperative that we finish top 3. With so many of our players involved in the world cup, having to get them back into the team, in form, and playing extra games (for the CL play-off) that early on would not be good. We'll likely not have the depth we would like for both competitions next season anyway.

Reading that Shaq is open to a 'Pool transfer. I think he would be an excellent addition for our system.
