@McNamara247: Just heard strange rumor from EC source: Celtics talking about possibility of Pierce and Bradley for Eric Gordon.

@McNamara247: Pierce's contract is only partially guaranteed. Best case scenario: Pelicans can move Pierce for something. Worst case: Buy him out for

@McNamara247: Five million and have even more cap space this summer plus the young perimeter defender they crave in Bradley. Interesting

We have enough now, don't we? All the cap space in the world doesn't matter if you don't have the right players wanting to come.

I don't think I'd like this because it's not like this fa class is stacked anyway. So why trade away one of our key pieces for more cap space? Cap space doesn't win games. And in this case, it could get Monty fired because many are expecting the team to improve dramatically next year. We need a guy like EG for that to happen.

Unless demps knows he can get a guy like CP, this doesn't make much sense. I'd like this if we could sign CP because then we'd still have cap space to sign some solid role players.

Are we just going to be the place that teams send us guys and we buy them out?

Eventually, I feel like Benson is going to get sick of buying out players.

This would be a big time "dump the contract" move. They would have no intention whatsoever of taking on Paul Pierce...it would be strictly for the buyout and to get Avery Bradley.

Bradley is a really good defender, but I don't see him as a full time starter at SG at all...guy is pretty small despite his wingspan. He'd be a nice piece on an already good team.

For what? The only max guys out there are CP3 and Dwight Howard and they aren't coming here.

The only FAs I really want are Webster and/or Pekovic and we should already have space to sign them.

Is Bradley really that good? Plus, he's a FA next year.

The only good I could see out of this is getting a young nucleus of Bradley, Rivers, Davis and our Draft Pick together with a Seasoned Pro like PP to show the young guys what it takes to be a pro.

That being said, I seriously doubt PP wants to be anywhere besides Boston.

His EC source is one of his supposed best friends that used to work for the Cavs (remember the Jack/Ariza for Antawn Jamison rumor?) and now apparently works for the Hawks. He mentions him enough that I think he's real and just passes on rumors. A rumor like this circulating is not surprising. We know Gordon is at least available if not being actively shopped and we know Ainge is trying to move Pierce.

Cap space equals better lottery chances. Playing for Wiggins next season?
