That is the definition of overkill. I approve.

Bad Boy is my competition. I just wanted to inform you of some the items to watch for.
Kawasaki FR and Kohler Courage Pro - should never been on a mower priced over $3900 and should only be used on less than 2 acres.
Hydraulics: Do your homework. EZT, ZT2800 or ZT3100? For your property I'd stay with ZT3100's or greater.
60" cut on a small frame mower usually means a bad cut. I'm not saying they cut bad, and some people don't care as long as it's shorter! But 60" deck on a small frame mower means the outer blade tips are further away from frame and wheels. So on uneven ground you can get more 'dip' with the blade tips causing an unlevel cut.

WilsonPickett What's your opinion on the Kubota ZG127E-54? I would also be cutting 3-3.5 acres. Price is $5,299. If you don't recommend that one is there anything in that price range that you would recommend?

Just wondering because I saw them both at TSC.

Well, truth be told, I do not have any experience with them but have heard nothing but terrible things. They just are not well built. For most people, if they need a zero turn, they can use a commercial grade mower, new or used, riding or walk behind.

My only experience with cub cadet was with an older lawn tractor and that thing was a beast. We used it like a four wheeler until we got actual 4 wheelers.

I guess your right. Craftsman used to be a name you could stand behind, but now its nothing but a name. I like the bad boy, and I've also put my buddy on stand by if he finds a used commercial mower. He's a yard man by trade so I'm sure he knows some people.

Kubota just came out with a HD homeowners ZTR too. It is not the same motor nor pumps that the commercial units use but it is getting great reviews and is supposed to be below 5k.
Kubota lineup here.
The ZG127s looks like it will get any job done. Maybe someone in the bidness will have a better idea.

I've been looking at the Bad Boy 54" at TSC for 3499.
It has a B&S 27hp, how would that compare to the Kawasaki and Kohler? It definitely looks like the vest value for what i need, but kinda worried about the Briggs.

I have a Bad Boy 60" 30HP Kohler Command Pro that cuts 15 acres a week. Deck is very solid and is chain hung in the back. Quality of cut depends on the quality of the blades and deck adjustment (level side to side and correct pitch front to back). I have about 750 hours on it. Had to replace the clutch stack last year; otherwise no problems.
I think a 60" 27HP mower is more than you really need for your acreage, but it would certainly knock it out in short order.

The more I look into things the better the 60 inch 27 HP looks to me.

Also, I've called Bad Boy several times for help and pointers. They have always been extremely responsive and helpful.
