Update to my previous post on the crime stats:
The rate of 3.76 in 2001 was only for selected crimes - mostly violent crimes.
This link is for all crimes in 2009... LINK
Based on this the number of arrests for the general population of 100 18 to 22 year old males over a 3 year period would be
(4.39 + 4.47 + 4.28 + 3.92 + 3.62) * 3 =
62.04 arrests.
Even Missouri's rate of 15 is much less than that but still quite high for an 'educated' population.

My point is....why make it a point!
Fans need to understand this happens at every school and LSU is not immune to these problems.
We have been very fortunate the numbers are not higher like other schools and yes the staff should be recognized for their hard work.
I just feel people are making a big deal about nothing.

This thread is for those who have the perception that lsu is "Miami west" and has all these arrests. When in reality, the arrests are few compared to other schools.

still doesn't excuse the idiotic behavior of Hill... I'm not sure of the point of this thread.

Of course it doesn't. And it's not supposed to. Hill is listed in the first group. I'm sure he understands he screwed up. I doubt you see him get in trouble again.
The point of the thread was to give some perspective. That's all.

yeah because anymore arrests and you can pretty much close the door on his football playing career. I think the carnal knowledge thing is going to be tough for him to overcome with the NFL anyway. He'll get drafted but its going to affect his stock, without a doubt.

The arrests don't fall totally on Miles. He has to keep "institutional" control, meaning not mass arrests and corruption in the program, but he is not responsible for every player and their individual actions.
Players know right from wrong, and they presumably have parents who guide them on the right path. If they are stupid enough to get arrested and compromise their future, then it's their own fault, not Miles, and I don't feel sorry for them one bit. Most people would kill to have the opportunities these guys get.

A senior and a freshman in highschool hooking up isn't really that big of a deal IMO. He'll be fine if he can just stay out of anymore trouble.

I agree, though, Doc, that you left off a few players. They were backups, but I don't see them on here. Could be that you are not including years before 2010. You should do a list from Miles entire tenure.

Yes, it's only from the last three years, but it would still be much less than the other comparable schools in the SEC

Should have been posted on the SEC Rant but it wouldn't last long, would it?

Cadello, never late for an LSU circle jerk session to use as a platform to make you look like the #1 super fan . It's like you have a Radar.
