Best brick and mortar pizza in BR. Wood fired food truck is great too.
In a different league than fleur de lis.

Went for the first time last week. Came away impressed.

It's awesome!!
I love fleur de lis as well, but I don't consider fleur de lis traditional pizza. It's different.
Mama Della's is real NY style pizza.
I just hope they stick around

It's pretty good, probably my favorite pizza in BR. I like Fleur de Lis for what it is, but if I had to choose one or the other, I'd pick Mama Della's. I like the "Grandma Pie" with the NY thin crust. They also make a good Margherita. I really don't care for their thick Sicilian crust, although some people love it. My only gripe is that sometimes they put too much cheese on it, and the crust can't stand up to it. Owner has been really nice on my visits.

I don't think it's that cut and dry. But it is my favorite and the favorite of many others.
I also like Whole Foods' pizza a lot.

Yes it is. Only pizza places in the area that are even close are dolche vita (the food truck) and roma in praireville.

I was very impressed with Mama Della's. It's my favorite so far.

One of the biggest letdowns I have ever had taking advice from this board.
EXTREMELY greasy and crust did not hold up well. Wasn’t remotely foldable and looked like a BP spill next to the greasiest Shlitz and Giggles pizza I have ever had.
I wont be back. Sauce had virtually no flavor. Counter service there is wierd. Either its bad or they expect you to reach over their counter to get plates.

It's greasy but good. I prefer FDL, but Mama Della's is good.

It's fantastic. I need to go back. It's been over a week. Best pizza in town.
The Sicilian style is every bit as good as the Neopolitan style, even with the thicker crust.

Very good. The guy picks fresh herbs outside the restaurant.

Which style are they known for? Neapolitan?

I will agree with this. The people behind the counter were one step above Forrest Bump when I was interacting with them

They are known for their thin, foldable, NY-style. That being said, I grew up in the northeast and any respectable NY-style pizza joint has a little grease on their finished product.

Agreed. Even in the best pizza places in nyc, i take a napkin to my pizza to remove some of the grease.
