What are their projected positions in college?
I'm guessing something like this:
Robinson: OT
Clapp: OG
Brumfield: OG or center

you mean like getting Corey Thompson?
my only concern is him maybe going to Alabama because a) I hate them and b) we have to play them every year and on the off chance we beat them, we may have play them again.
If they want to go out of state, go someplace harmless like Texas or the Big 10.

Agreed.
Can't wait until we see what Thompson does in the backfield. Kid LOOKS like a LB, but apparently has S speed and already fighting Martin for a starting job.
I think Martin wins out because I think Martin is a beast, but what's that say about Thompson when he's up for the starting spot vs. a solid veteran in his sophomore year?
But according to the rankings, Collins is supposed to be light years ahead, amirite?????

When it comes to transferring schools, I don't have a problem with it if the parents feel that's the best place for their student/athlete. HOWEVER, I have a problem with it if coaches or supporters are trying to improperly influence these parents. I'm from West Monroe, and I'm proud of the success my alma mater has enjoyed in recent years. If a family wants to come because it's a great school with a great athletic program that's super. People do that all the time. If they come because somebody promised them something (and I don't personally know of any instance where that actually happened)I would be vehemently opposed. After all, you would be bringing in somebody that might take an opportunity away from my child or my neighbor's.
We have several high schools in our area that are attractive to students (OCS and Neville come to mind), so if you're considering moving your child, do it for the right reasons.

I read it and you just come off as petty because he left Ouachita ... It happens let it go
It doesn't bother me one bit on a personal level that he left Ouachita. I even posted that my kids would be attending WM. Ouachita didn't lose to WM when I was in school so there is no need to be petty. I appreciate you responding to my post though.

I agree 100% WMTiger. That is why I didn't bash WM in regards to his transfer. All I was getting at is Cam has multiple people in his ear that played a major role in his leaving Ouachita. Those same people are in his ear now regarding college.

I think you're on the right track with your analogy but need to tweak it a bit...
Losing a top level instate player and getting an OOS of equal talent isn't like going from one make to a lesser make....it's essentially getting the same car but not in your favorite color.

One big factor people aren't talking about is distance. Yes it's very easy to get to Tuscaloosa from West Monroe. Just straight I-20. However, it's much easier to get to Bston Rouge from Houston than Tuscaloosa. Mom lives in WM. Dad lives in Houston. Hopefully this comes into play with Cam's decision.
