Either way, too much garbage.

Beggars can't be choosers. If Driveman is right then the team will be looking to move Gordon this summer. Many of Demps' moves have seemed to come out of nowhere, so I'd be happy if he could come up with something better, but looking at realistic options this offseason this garbage trade may be the best you'll get. And the extra expiring for the 2014 pick isn't necessary, that's just something I am partial to, especially if the Warriors are hitching their wagon to Curry, Gordon and Bogut. I think Demps/Monty/Benson need to Win Now too much to take on an expiring for another draft pick.

And let's face it... no one can deny him at this point, in light of the past (and yesterday).

At first I looked at that deal and was like: hell no.

Now I look at it and its not the end of the world. Two players, one that has proven to be a very effective scorer, the other with a lot of potential. The other contracts suck, but I didn't think we would get an elite talent in FA this year. It does set us up for next year's FA...when we might be knocking on the door of a high level team with talent like AD, Thompson, Barnes, Rivers, etc all hitting their stride.

I hate to give up that #5 pick though, even in a weak draft.
