Gumps...
From an ESPN article: Draft's most overrated prospects...
Alabama offensive line
Reason overvalued: It is being viewed through crimson-colored glasses
Given the poor state of blocking in the NFL, it isn't a surprise that all of the Alabama Crimson Tide offensive line prospects have something of value to offer teams at the next level.
But this group garners a spot on this list because, as great as the collective talent level was, it really didn't post dominant numbers last year. The 51.7 percent good blocking rate is a quality mark, yet it wasn't even as good as the 52.8 percent GBR posted by the Clemson Tigers' run-blockers. Alabama also allowed 23 sacks last year, tied for fourth in the SEC, and its 6.6 percent rate for sacks allowed tied for 81st nationally.
Those figures all suggest this group should be viewed through a very clear prism rather than one that adds value based on the fact the players were part of the best team in the country last year.

It would very disappointing if he doesn't chose Lsu with this amazing class but a slap in the face if he chooses bama

Right, except that he's considered a virtual top 10 lock barring injury this season. WTH have you been watching?

My bad, forgot about the universal conspiracy regarding Bama owning the refs/NCAA that LSU/AU fans seem to mysteriously have more knowledge about than NFL personnel.

Why don't you and your lil buddy Trey go have an early morning spooning session.

Barrett Jones should be a top 15 pick then

It will depend on many things. Kouandjo isn't considered a top 10 lock by anyone other than Bama fans at this point. The reality is he's been part of a historic OL at Bama for the last 2 years. Now it's his turn to be "the man" on the OL. You lose possibly 3 1st rounders to the NFL. If your OL doesn't measure up to last year's then I can easily see Kouandjo slipping to the 2nd or 3rd. If your OL looks dominant again and you make the NC game, then there is a good chance he will be picked in the 1st. It all depends on this year because the last 2 years, he has had a lot of help to hide any miscues he may have had. He's a good player, but he isn't a first round lock.

I honestly feel Kouandjio was the best of the Bama lineman besides Warmack. Jones was versatile and Fluker was a mammoth, but CyKo is a freak of a physical specimen.
Should be a top 10-15 pick next season at worst.

I've always curious about fans of other boards that venture over here to argue with a bunch of homers like us. I follow recruiting very closely and never go over to another team's board. It just doesn't interest me.

There's info/opinions on other boards you don't always get on your home board. Personally I don't survive on crimson kool aid alone.

Just curious. I think I'm just too lazy to wonder elsewhere.

Hey TheSystem what's the word or feed back you guys are hearing on Cam after his visit to Alabama this weekend
Posted on 4/22/13 at 8:07 am to Dubz17
People need to chill out about Cam and just let it play out.
Too many people freaking out the same way they did when "Brumfield almost committed to bama" earlier this year with Sims.

James Carpenter went 1st round two years ago. DJ Fluker is supposed to go first round this year.
Warmack will go before him. Damn son, at least help yourself out!!!!

By the time Robinson enrolls, will have been Smith, Carpenter, Warmack, Fluker, Koundjio, all 1st round. So yes, as I said, a steady procession.
....yet, with a different oline coach.
a new oline coach does matter, especially when Saban's niche is DBs.

If you looked at a 2013 Mock a year ago at this time Luke Joeckel and Eric Fisher were not in the top 5. Future mocks are fun, but completely meaningless. He could get hurt, play bad, get passed by the 2014 version of Fisher and Joeckel or for that matter stay at Bama rather than take the pay cut by coming out early. Lots of varibales between today and the 2014 draft.

only by fans and some ameteur draft gurus. No NFL people would comment either way because they don't generally waste time evaluating players that are not in the current draft. As a LT he does play a high value position that always produces top 10 picks.
