Not complaining but two poor calls...

Katz holding the runner at first. Awful oversight!
If you've decided to bunt why accept such a huge defensive drop off at catcher? I wouldn't call this a bad decision, but it's suspect.
It was a great decision to bunt Sciambre because he had a poor lefty matchup.

Maybe it will cause us to make better decisions down the road in more meaningful games

For the possibility of a close play at the plate on a fly ball. Chinea is fine playing defense for the bottom of an inning

Pretty lame, dude. That means you don't disagree with any calls Miles or CPM have made in years. Just wow!

I didn't mind that, there was only one out- it kept the force in effect as well as a possible game ending double play.

Pulling Ross made me nervous - Chinea is going to be good but he's inexperienced, and it led to a hit.

what about lairds hit clearly fair

So coaches are infallible because they won a championship 4 seasons ago?

So in a tie game it's better to play conservative rather than get the run? Ross is the slowest runner on the team. It's a sub you make...period.

I didnt mind it because cotton is a ground ball pitcher and it kept the double play in tack.

I guess your talking about baseball
but why would anyone complain about CPM when LSU has started 34-3 and is in prime position to go to Omaha. Ranters really do amaze me sometimes.

I agree about Ross' speed. Did anyone else think he was out when the outfielder caught and threw the ball?

look no guarantee he is going to bunt it successfully if its a bad bunt he may be thrown out at third. the distance of the pop fly needs to be further because of ross slow speed. Bring in a speed guy don't worry about being thrown out at third if a hard bunt, and you can hit it shorter and still get the run in. It was a no brainer call and EVERY coach in baseball would make the swap. You want to win it doesn't matter if you have a good defensive catcher in the bottom of the inning if you take the lead, and it the lead matters more then defense at that point of the game.

He's done a great job this year, but he's still made some mistakes. Just like anyone else.

Compared to CMP, you wouldn't know a mistake if it was to bite you in the arse.

True but neither call was a mistake.

Hayell naw.
Coaches are not infallible.
The infallible ones are the guys who have never won anything important sitting home in front of their keyboards second guessing every decision a coach makes, acting like they know it all.

...because the speed on the bases could have made a difference on a play at 3rd on the bunt, or on a play at the plate with the infield drawn in...or a sac fly.

i can't explain that one.
