This is correct. He's a decent player, but against teams with length and pressure defense he will have problems. The officiating in the STM and Aug game was piss poor. Touchet had problems all night long hitting shots. Most of the time the officials bailed him out with calling horrible fouls when he drove to the basket. There are quite a few better players out there LSU can go after. Now if LSU misses out on all of those kids then they should give Touchet a look as a filler.

Would it be fair to say that Touchet always out performs his abilities and Craig Victor always under performs his ability.

At least that's the feeling I get.

I'd say Victor is the specimen but watching both play I'm not sure he deserves to be as highly regarded as he is.

Touchet is a very good player. He struggled in the first half of the St Aug game, but in the 2nd half he got to the rim whenever he wanted. Victor couldn't guard him either. He shot 22 free throws because he kept getting fouled at the rim. I'm not an STM guy, but I was impressed with what I saw in Touchet.

That being said, there may be some better suited guys for LSU than him. I understand LSU passing on him if they get the other guys they're going after.
