How many 6'1 6''2 SG do you know that play big d1 ball? LSU already made that mistake with Stringer. Mid major bound

6'1/6'2 is plenty tall for a 2-guard in college. Really tough in the NBA other than being off the bench in spots but this is college, not the NBA we're talking here.

While Stringer isn't ideal size, the kid just averaged double digits a game scoring and shot >40% from 3...so "mistake" is a bit harsh. Yes, we dont want a full team of undersized players, but 1 here and there isn't going to hurt IF they are smart/productive players, such as Stringer.

Morgan is 6'4, Stringer is 5'9. Both played the same position this year...who was better? This is my point. Not saying Morgan cant get better, as we all think he will progress since he was just a freshman, but size doesnt always mean a better player. Stringer vs. Morgan this year is a great example.

I honestly dont see Johnny Jones offering unless we missed out on probably a handful of kids we have ahead of Touchet on the board for 2014, but a big part of that might also be because Jones DOES like length at every position. In the end, if it came down to it, this kid can definitely play, whether or not he could be effective in the SEC is certainly up for debate, but simply being 6'1/6'2 doesn't mean he would be useless considering we had a dead eye 5'9 3 point shooter on our team this year.
