Dry hopping question

Doing my first IPA home brew and today is bottling day. the recipe calls for dry hopping. Can I dry hop and then bottle today?

I'm not used to seeing a homebrew thread without Bug's Hombrewing: preface in the title.
No, you can't/shouldn't do that.
Dry hop for a week or so then bottle.
