Yes. My first game(to watch) in Tiger Stadium was in 40's (1946 I think at age of 5 or 6)

My first game in Tiger Stadium was also in the 40s - 1949 to be exact. It was still a horseshoe in those days.

It's funny that Mississippi State's football stadium still looks like that.

7777Tiger, we were there at the saame time. I started in '74 and remember Schirmer and Help Mac Pack all too well.
My first game was home against Colorado. Especially memorable because of the panty raid (the last one allowed). We would get up to yhe windows of the girls' dorm and get the panties with the girls' names. I got on the roof of Power ( a girls' dorm then) and got a XXXL size with the name and number of every girl onn the flor. I was busy for the whole semester. Ahhhhhh, good times.

back to your nostalgia old people
Yeah, the bad old days before the minitrons, scrolling commercials, tiger roars that sound like toilets flushing, the wave, beach balls, people talking on their cells and texting, non-stop commercial breaks, parking that is 2 miles from the stadium, tailgating at 130 decibels to mostly crappy music; not to mention the $ for TAF and Tradition funds, spiraling ticket prices, and Tiger Water.
Old folks are delusional.

It was a very different experience 40 years ago. Coming from Metry the completion of I-10 was a big deal, no more snake farm, my father didn't get to stop at the Airline Motors in Laplace to get a big Bourbon and water to sip on, we got cokes and chips.
Our seat were on the last 4 in the south end zone next to the east sideline, about half way up, next to the dividing wall, the were even with the goal line. My little brother and I would run off as soon as the game started to explore the stadium, we knew every nook and cranny. When I got to 8 y/o I started watching the games, that was 1958.
I glad someone reminded me how much shorter the games were, TV adds to much time, I think in the late 60's the TV producers took control, what a mistake.
